Product DescriptionWhat are wall murals? Wall murals are large, scenic graphics applied to the wall much like wallpaper. Each mural consists of 8 panels, which makes them very easy for anyone to hang. A dry-strippable, cellulose paste is included with each mural, as are easy to follow instructions. Must be installed on a smooth, primered wall. Texture surfaces need to have a wall liner installed first.
Wall murals are printed on 80 lb. wet-strength paper. After printing they are finished with a light coat of varnish. They can be cleaned (but not scrubbed) with a wet sponge.

Any good home decorating contests worth entering?

Anyone know of any good home Decorating contests I can enter? I’d like to redecorate my bedroom in my home. Maybe one in which they come in and redecorate for you, but any will do.

An obvious one is hgtv. I think they are currently launching a dream home give away contest. Although, I think that’s a little different than what you mean. However, here’s the link:

You could also try a site called Furniture for Small Spaces. They’re doing a small contest for people who have small bedrooms. The rewards are much smaller but the chance of winning is much greater and it might be fun to enter:

If those aren’t enough, you could also try contest directories. They usually have a section for the home which might list other contests.

Do you need a degree in Interior design to become an interior designer?

I have a degree in Literary Arts and in corporate PR. How do I go about pursuing a career in interior design? I am very good at Decorating & design, it is my passion and I have always received numerous compliments from almost everyone who has visited my home.

Degrees are not necessary in most professions, however it’s usually the door opener or invitation and it will definitely give you an advantage over the competition.

However, if you are absolutely brilliant in what you do, actions speak louder than words. Basically build a very strong portfolio, one which you can show and be proud of. In lots of design industries, portfolios will speak louder than a degree, so it’s definitely not a hopeless cause.

Just stay on top of your game and visit various Interior Design communities online to gain more knowledge and inspiration.

Interior design ideas for a working British style Phone Booth (the red one) into a living/rec. room?

I once saw a working phone booth, with door and all, incorporated into a living room in an Interior Design magazine. I am currently planning designs for my basement-party-lounge room, and think this design element would be a great conversation piece for guests. (also serves a purpose) Please post any links to articles or pictures of something similar to this, thanks!

You can do anything you want design wise as long as you are able and willing to pay for it. I think the concept would be great fun in a rec room but not a living room. If you can find one all you would have to do is have it wired to your telephone lines.
