I am opening a ladies clothing store and I need some help on decorating the place. Does anyone know of a website that has tips and hints on Decorating a retail store? I have looked everywhere and can’t seem to find anything except contractors. I absolutely don’t want to hire anyone to do it as I am working on a small budget and just need some basic ideas.

Go to a large bookstore and browse through books on retail merchandising and environmental graphics. Also, go to the magazine and sites I located below. They have competition for the best displays by category. Go look at sores you like and take notes. Come back after hours and take snap shots or sketch what you like about the store. Remember, clothing is important, so less is more. It needs to show off the merchandise, not overwhelm it. Also, go to the websites of people who design environments for stores. You can look at their portfolios for free! Good luck!

My husband and I are buying a home that only the outside is done. On the inside the stud walls are up, but that is it. We will have to do everything from electrical to sheetrock. I have 3 small daughters (7, 4, and 2) and want their rooms to be beautiful. I need help designing and Decorating the bathrooms and the kitchen.
