What type of school should I study interior design at?

When desiring a degree in an art based career is it better to go to an art school/career school or is going to a regular university sufficient enough? I want to study Interior Design, but art schools are sooooo expensive. So I’m wondering if it would be fine just going to a traditional university that offers interior design? Please help. Thank you.

i am at a traditional school now and i am going transfer to a art school next year… i am going to the art institute of atlanta… most of the time you can get a alot of financial help from a art school, some of them will help you find a part time job to help you pay for school…. i think you should just apply to both a traditional school and a art school.. and see which one you can get the most financial help from… do you plan on filling out the fafsa papers? and are you a senior in high school?

There’s a great one in Savannah, GA. My cousin graduated from it a couple years ago. She first went to Carson-Newman in TN and then to Savannah, and now she’s back at Carson-Newman TEACHING int. design.
